Neill Blomkamp has been hired to direct the new halo film, this guy is from South Africa (which is very apparent when you watch some of his films) and is a dark horse, (guess so, since I've never heard of 'em before). Anyhow, I think he'll do a good job, he's done a lot of short films, and all his stuff has a lot of special effects. Below are links to some of this work. Note: There isn't anything bad in any of these, but you might wanna make sure that none of your little siblings are in the room, they might in fact like it, I don't know, but just make sure you watch it first, 2 of 'em are a little gross.

tHi$ iS sOOO c0OL!!!11!!@!11!!!!!! lol, anyhow, it's gonna be an online game where you create a character and chat with others, play games, listen to music (yea! all teh hottest hits!) and attend virtual parties at your favorite laguna beach hot spots ( maybe like the sims?) sooo....I think it's safe to call it an mmorpg, or maybe a MMOWHG! (massivly multiplayer online with hot guys! teehehehe). oh man, I wonder how this is gonna work, out? I can't wait for someone to come in and be like, "UGH! I keep getting stood up by these freaking lvl 60 hotness chicks!", "SWEET! Varsity Jacket of Hotness! with +20 intellect!", "How I mine for hot clothes?" "ugh, natalie is such a ganker!" "hey Laura! you going to the sweet quest tonight? No, I'm only level 30 hotness" lol, man, is it just me? or is everything getting an mmo these days? it's like record deals, or those toy shaving kits with fake razors-every popular person/trend has one. There is one cool thing about the Laguna Beach mmo though, your player will never run out of gold...

Hey everyone, wow, haven't posted for long. Mr. Quring, I would like to say that I have attempted repeatidly to comment, but have had some problems (due to laziness), but fear no more, the problemo is solved. Anyhow, Mexico was great, God def. blessed that. Boot Camp is cool too. I'm starting to get more and more excited about the next-gen systems. I'll have more later.

This video is the exact reason why we restrict the Weblogs, Inc.-issued company Lamborghini Gallardo to track use only.

The government of Dubai installed a rather large speed bump on a street that locals had developed a habit of travelling on at very high speeds. Only one minor problem, the government didn't tell anyone it had installed the speed bump. Without a sign of warning vehicles hit the mound and leave terra firma, only to land in a shower of sparks as their suspensions bottom out. The final car in this video, a Lamborghini Gallardo, nearly flips tail over nose when it hits the speed bump, which, again, is why we only drive ours on the track.

Taken From Engadget:"We've heard tell of NASA's Spidernaut, a large robot designed to service spacecraft, but after finally seeing it in action we're not so sure humans are fully prepared to battle against robots in the coming rebellion -- this thing is pretty hardcore. Supposedly its current incarnation is only 1/4 of the final size, but the target is a 600 pound robot that can distribute weight evenly over its eight legs to avoid damaging the skin of the spacecraft or for scurrying across solar panels. NASA is even looking into a "web" deployment system for the bot, in which case we're hiding the women and children and locking the doors."

Yes my fellow bloggers, it is a beautiful sight. If you look closely you can see "divx" in the lower right corner of the video-playing in quicktime. Using a piece of free downloadable software called Flip4Mac, I can play back video that would usually require ms media player. Not only that, but it has a plug in for browsers, enabling me to stream wmv. Sorry everyone, but this one is mac only-though I'm sure there are a plethora of similar products for windows.

Well, it's happened: Google has announced its online video store. They will offer CBS content, old T.V. shows such as "I Love Lucy", educational content, NBA games, independent movies, Sony music videos, cartoon classics and more. Here's the thing.....please remove all children from the room: REAL.....TIME.....PLAYER........(you may want to pause for a second and bring yourself back together). I might actually be going a little tough on it, I have read that the video player will include some new features, so I will just have to wait and see. As far as pricing is concerned, customers will be able to buy episodes of old shows for 1.99, while new shows will also cost 1.99-BUT TO RENT. The NBA games will cost around 3 or 4 bucks (but to own-just like the old t.v. shows). (link to pricing) One of the really cool things, is that some of the content will be DRM free (I wouldn't bet on the CBS shows though) allowing iPod and PSP owners to get in on some of the action. My personal thoughts on Google's recent move is not black or white. I was somewhat suprised that Google did come out with an online store, especially after joking wth Chris about it at school-ESPECIALLY the part about the Real Player. I do however think that this can be a good thing, because I can 100% guarantee more people selling content on Google's store. The nich markets could really start to shine too, (i.e. classics, even educational videos). All this packaged in a Google designed layout, with great search tools. It's a bit early to make too much of a judgment on this one I think, but truely, this has potential.

Hey, sorry I haven't been commenting or updating my blog (don't hide the tears). Anyhow, just letting everyone know that I'm getting back on and will start to kick up some cool stuff-and trust me, I know cool. A lot has happened since I last updated my blog, including the purchase of my family's new computer: a mac mini. Prior to that we were using ME because our Dell running XP was and is currently in the church being used for powerpoints because the churches Emachine stopped working. It's cool to have a modern OS again, and I might post some mac vs pc updates especially now that I have a 30-day trial of iWork and purchased Mac Office 2004. Oh yes, and next-gen is here-WOOT! C'mon, don't give me excuses; you know you're excited. Alright, start checking my blog for updates, cU2 tHay R c0Ming!1!!!1!.

Man, I'm tired, I had so many tests this week. Today we had two spanish tests.....Plus on monday I have a science and a spanish test. So uhhh.......my brain is drained.......yo, ma brain is drained, like a midnight train, going to spain, after watching a game in norte dame, no one won the game, but they got much fame, so now im workin on a crane, in Maine, eatin a sugar cane, with a great dane, who has great pain, in his.....veins. That's right, some hardcore free style right there. Not kidding, i did that in one swoop. Anyways, i stayed at school today till 8:30 working on yearbook, pretty cool, i feel like a game designer, working with scribus (publishing software). Peace out people.

Forget Lost and Housewives

Following the recent introduction of the video playing iPod, a host of people are taking advatage of iTune's podcasting feature. We are starting to see video podcasts which I forsee could even extend into ametuer tv shows and movies being featured online. It would also be interesting to see if blogs start taking advantage of this: ranging from normal people reporting on things going on around the world (no doubt upsetting governments) to engadget now being able to show footage of game shows by sending the footage straight to your iPod. Now that iTunes and other sites allow for this feature, I believe we will start to see more and more content being delivered in this format.

I still laugh at the fact that Santa Rosa has an Xbox 360 Kiosk while SF and SILICON VALLEY (SILLICON VALLEY!!!!!!!!!!) don't. All I can say is ,"I CANNOT WAIT TILL ONE OF THESE COMES TO THE BEST BUY AT COLMA!!!!!" BTW, I don't think ms in any way flopped this up-this was a good way to get the 360 out. (not being sarcastic)

Hey everyone, haven't posted lately but I will try to do so more often. Can't say too much is going on; sure am glad it's the week end though. There has been roughly 1,008,260 tests this week-so I'm kinda burned out on that. Seriously, I probably looked like Anikan coming from school today, "UHHHH........too many tests....". Man, what a mess. The next-gen craze has stirred up fan boys all over the internet to engage in fierce battles in which both sides some how argue when so little is known. I must say though that those who state, "Yea, I'm not getting involved in this gen" etc... are hilarious, simply because it's not true. You see, I don't totally agree with next-gen either, but I'm still gonna EVENTUALLY switch, you know why? because they will cut support for the current consoles that's why. We are left with no choice then to either upgrade our consoles, or go with either pc gaming, hand-held, classic, or no gaming at all. Sure you could play your xbox, or ps2, but don't expect too many new games, not later on anyways. As far as which console I get.....well...that's just gonna have to be figured out later.

Well, today was hawaian shirt day at school. Turned out pretty @wEs^oMe!!11!!. Other than that, I must say that I'm happy student council is going as good as it is. Things seem to be going very smooth this year, and somewhat uneventful, though I must admit that, while I'm not sure of the morality of this statement. Problems every once in a while are kinda fun. Banquet commitee will start up very soon, with its first meeting most likely being held this wednesday during lunch. This will be an interesting commitee due to its size, but I will try to use that to our advantage.

Well, today had been good so far, I got back from church about an hour ago, played my guitar (Green Eyes by Coldplay) and then had some kalbi for lunch ( Korean BBQ Ribs). We had some nickle and dime problems with our sound today ( I mention this only because I'm the one in charge of it), though it was easily covered over by the good sermon and baptisim of a young women. The messege was about how Paul asked for prays and also prayed himself whenever he went somewhere etc... Anyways, you're probably wondering what this had to do with the link. If your wondering what church, korean ribs and a pontiac have in common, don't ask me, because I don't know either. As some of you know, I have a slight weak spot for GM, and hope greatly to one day see it rise up to the status it once held during its heyday. The car linked will def. help it back up.
